He is an Artiste, a song Writer and an aspiring business entrepreneur finalist at the second edition of ‘The Intern” a TV reality show sponsored by Spring bank.

Now you would wonder what business an Artiste has with a business oriented programme like “The Intern”.

Well, Eyeowumi Oma-Pedru is a multi-talented man that sees himself unstoppable.A graduate of Geography by qualification, Owunmi as he is fondly called says, Geography has opened his world to see things differently, but music for him is a calling, a passion, and the centre of everything he represents, a fact he cannot deny.

Though Owunmi started singing at age 14, he still sees himself as an upcoming Artiste, because he’s still in the process of being known. However he has written songs for a number of upcoming artistes, and has done a collabo with a group called Afologic.

On his take about the Nigerian music industry, he says “the Nigerian music industry is developing just like the country is developing, we’re growing and beginning to discover ourselves…” he further advised that artistes should produce globally accepted songs.

Now to his participation in The intern, speaking to Goodlife in an interview, the Delta state born Artiste said he got inspired by watching the first edition of the Programme which prompted his desire to want to learn about business strategies, techniques, and branding.

He also commented that his experience at The intern has been pleasant, adding that he has also made new friends. To him he believes the aim of the programme is being met.

Though a man of ideas, Owumi believes in starting small. He is currently working on his album which would be released later this year, he’s also involved in song writing projects and also working on Singles with a few upcoming artistes, among whom is T Frezo.

Owumi has plans of enlarging his Song Company. The company provides song materials for individuals and companies. It also does consultation services as regards writing, selection, and composition of songs. He is currently on a concert titled The Psalmist Jam and The Psalmist.

As an upcoming Artiste and his participation in The Intern, he says his experiences so far with the public have been positive and encouraging.

Being an Itsekiri man, his favorite food is starch and Owgho soup, while rice-stew, plantain, and beef would also be a delight anytime. His colours are blue, black, grey and brown.

Owumi’s greatest motivation is his mother whom he describes as a strong woman. Her courage has motivated him through the hurdles of life, and has encouraged him not to be stagnant. He also says he is grateful to God who has been his guide all through.

His dream is to bring honor and pride to his family name. Owumi’s advice to everyone is that all things are possible and dreams do come true.
